Ivory Chevrolet, a car dealership company owned by Kenya native David
Karangu has been ranked the 7th largest black-owned companies in
Atlanta, Georgia byAtlanta Black Star magazine. Ivory Chevrolet is based
in Union City, GA and grossed $72 million in revenue in 2011, according
to statistics from Black Enterprise Magazine that were used to rank the
businesses.
David left early retirement to purchase an existing
Chevrolet dealership in Union City, renaming it Ivory Chevrolet. Over
his career, he has owned several other dealershipsincluding
Mercedes-Benz of Augusta and BMW of Columbia in South Carolina.
